JEFFREY J. TYMANN

Jeff Tymann is a 1975 graduate of The State University
of New York at Albany where he earned his bachelor's
degree with a dual major in accounting and business
administration. He received his J.D. from Albany Law
School in 1979, graduating in the top 10% of his class.
He was elected a member of the Justinian Honorary Law
Society in June, 1979. Jeff is admitted to practice in
the State of New York and the United States District
Court for the Northern District of New York, Southern
District of New York, Eastern District of New York and
the Second Circuit of the United States Court of
Appeals.
Jeff is a trial lawyer who has devoted his practice to
the defense of complex litigation including the defense
of physicians, hospitals, manufacturers and
municipalities. He has been involved in the defense of
a wide range of cases including several cases involving
catastrophic injuries. In representing physicians and
hospitals, he has handled cases where the damages
claimed involved neurologically impaired babies,
wrongful death and plaintiffs suffering from
quadriplegia. In the products liability area, Jeff's
experience includes the defense of automobile
manufacturers, various power tool equipment,
recreational vehicles and a variety of other products.
The municipality cases have included the defense of
Section 1983 (civil rights) actions.
Jeff has also successfully argued appeals before the
Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of
New York as well the Second Circuit of the United States
Court of Appeals.
Jeff is a member of the American Board of Trial
Advocates, New York State Trial Lawyers Association,
Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, American Bar
Association, New York State Bar Association and Albany
County Bar Association. He has frequently lectured on
various areas of trial practice.
